Lavender has long been known for its calming, restorative properties — and at Cloudscape Hill, we experience that truth every day in the fields. Casey's work brings that same restorative intention into the body, the breath, and the plate, grounded in both scientific rigor and lived practice.

A Rare Combination

Casey holds a B.S. in Biomedical Science with an emphasis in Nutrition and is a certified yoga instructor (RYT200). This combination is uncommon — and intentional. She understands wellness as being beyond a feeling, a biological reality shaping how the nervous system responds to movement, how nutritional compounds interact with cellular function, how breath and posture influence the body's stress response and one's sense of self.

Yoga & Somatics

Casey's yoga and somatic practice integrates movement, breath, and body awareness in a way that honors the whole person. Somatics — the practice of attending to the body from the inside — complements yoga beautifully, inviting a quality of presence and self-knowledge that goes beyond the physical posture.

Sessions and classes are available in-person at Cloudscape Hill — where practicing among the lavender rows or in our intimate yoga space in the Orchard House adds a dimension of sensory and ecological grounding that no studio can replicate — as well as virtually.

Nutrition

For thousands of years, humans have understood that food is foundational to wellness. Casey's nutritional guidance is rooted in biomedical science and shaped by the farm's own harvest: lavender-infused culinary products, seasonal garden produce, and an understanding of how what and when we eat directly shapes how we feel, think, and heal.

The Lavender Connection

Lavender's benefits extend well beyond aromatherapy. Its compounds have been studied for their effects on anxiety, sleep, inflammation, and digestion. At Cloudscape Hill, lavender is woven into the lavender products Casey formulates and the environment in which she teaches — making the farm itself part of the wellness practice.
